ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SOCCER PROGRAM

Throughout British Columbia, PASS delivers a complete elementary school activity program that provides students the opportunity to learn basic soccer skills in a series of fun-based activities and small-sided games. The program runs in the school gym, which allows each student more touches on the ball.

Students of all ages from kindergarten through grade 7 can attend. The number of students involved will determine how many days the program will run and how many times each class will participate.

The options we currently offer are as follows:

• 3, 5, or 10 consecutive days; or
• 1 day a week for 3 weeks, 5 weeks, or 10 weeks

The elementary school program can be tailored to your school’s specific needs, so please contact us and we will work together to create a schedule that works for you.

SECONDARY SCHOOL SOCCER PROGRAM

The objective of Play Active School Soccer (PASS) is to provide high level soccer players the opportunity to pursue academic excellence while participating in a high-performance soccer program. This is achieved through provisions that allow secondary students to attend school and take advantage of an integrated program of academics and athletics. Working with student athletes, the PASS coaches focus on technical development while maintaining a healthy balance between sports and school academics. These student athletes gain positive life-time behaviours such as fair play, respect & teamwork.

Students participating in the PASS soccer program take three courses each semester instead of the usual four. The first block of each day is designated for soccer training or classroom sessions. On field training takes place at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex-West from 8:15am to 9:50am. Student athletes are transported back to the school in time for second period.

Testimonials: We love what we do, and here’s what schools have to say about us.

“Thank you for providing… such a wonderful experience!”

“On behalf of Morley Elementary School staff and students, we would like to let you know how much we appreciated having the PASS Soccer Program at our school. Students looked forward to their sessions with the PASS Soccer group and were happy to learn some new soccer skills! It was a treat to have such experienced coaches sharing their knowledge with the students. Thank you for providing our students with such a wonderful experience!” – Ms J.Cipparrone, Head Teacher, Morley Elementary School

Just wanted to extend my sincere thanks for organizing PASS Soccer for Maywood. Our students were so grateful to have ‘real’ soccer players to teach them soccer skills and strategies for playing the game. It’s been so wonderful to see them put these skills into action on the playground and in the gym. So many of our students are not able to afford or access community soccer programs so this opportunity makes a big difference.
